Platform Product Video

The project initially began as a straightforward update to existing screen-recorded product videos. However, as storyboards developed, it became clear that the desired level of polish and storytelling would be difficult to achieve through screen recordings alone. Many screens required substantial edits, including updated content, motion, and typography that would have been cumbersome to recreate through traditional video editing techniques.

To improve the final result, I proposed a shift in approach. VieCure provided access to their Figma design files, allowing me to rebuild key interface moments directly in After Effects using live text and vector-based assets. This gave us significantly more control over animation, transitions, and visual consistency while ensuring the product experience remained accurate.

Using Figma, Adobe Illustrator, and the Overlord workflow, I efficiently transferred design assets into After Effects and developed a fully animated product showcase. To meet project timelines and budget requirements, I also incorporated AI-generated voiceover technology into the production process.

The completed animation delivered a more polished and engaging representation of the platform than the original screen-recording approach would have allowed. The video was successfully integrated into VieCure's HubSpot marketing campaign and became a featured component of the company's website redesign.

This project reinforced the importance of questioning the initial execution plan when a better solution becomes apparent. While rebuilding the interface animations from source files was more technically demanding than editing screen recordings, the additional effort resulted in a significantly stronger final product.
